Lutheran Women's Missionary League   (LWML)

                                                           Sewing Ladies
                                                                                              Beginning in April 2002 some ladies   
                                                                                              of the congregation began serving       
                                                                                              the Lord and His people in need         
                                                                                              with their sewing skills, several           
                                                                                              ancient (sometimes bulky) sewing      
                                                                                              machines and donated usable             
                                                                                              sample garments and fabric.  During   
                                                                                              their nearly weekly meetings in the     
                                                                                              church  basement and at home           
                                                                                              between meetings during 2008 they    
                                                                                              completed:  134 Quilts -- 32 of           
                                                                                              which went to Ozanam Home, 4        
                                                                                              lap robes, 264 good as new                
                                                                                              garments & 193 bed pads.

These fruits of their service were donated to local service agencies for distribution to those in need:
Metro Lutheran Ministry, Mission of the Good Shepherd, Our Redeemer Lutheran, Beautiful Savior
Lutheran Home & Cancer Action.
